S4 Economics Students Investigate the Production Chain at the Yakult Factory

On 2nd July 2026, our S4 Economics students embarked on an exciting and educational field trip to the Yakult Factory. This experiential learning visit offered a unique opportunity for students to step outside the classroom and witness a large-scale manufacturing operation in action.
During the comprehensive guided tour, students observed the step-by-step development and production processes of Yakult, gaining valuable insights into the mechanics of a real-world production chain. The visit allowed students to directly apply their classroom knowledge to industry practices, observing firsthand how core economic concepts such as production stages and the division of labour are implemented to maximize efficiency in a major corporation.
This invaluable experience successfully bridged the gap between textbook theory and real-life business operations. By witnessing these economic principles in motion, our students have not only deepened their understanding of the production chain but have also boosted their interest and learning outcomes in Economics.
