Knowing About the Work of Museums

On the 24th of November, the Art Department organised a workshop titled “Career Plan: Knowing About the Work of Museums” in the Art Room, conducted by the Education Team from the University Museum and Art Gallery at Hong Kong University. Designed for S3-S6 students—primarily those interested in pursuing art or considering it for their JUPAS university choices—the workshop offered valuable insights into various career opportunities within museums.
Participants engaged in interactive games, viewed a video interview with the Museum’s Chief Director discussing essential skills and personality traits for museum professionals, and completed a self-evaluation exercise to reflect on their strengths. The session concluded with small group discussions, fostering a collaborative environment for students to share insights and explore potential careers in the museum sector.
