Empowering Lifesavers: Students Master CPR and AED Skills
Date: 18/05/2026
Our school recently hosted the Secondary School Student Digital AED and CPR Experiential Programme, an essential initiative designed to equip students with vital, life-saving skills. This practical, student-centred activity successfully blended digital learning with direct coaching to ensure every participant walked away with practical emergency expertise.
To guarantee personalised attention, students were divided into small, focused groups of eight. They kicked off the session by watching an engaging and informative video that introduced the fundamentals of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and the mechanics of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs). Following this digital introduction, each group worked closely with a certified tutor who provided direct, hands-on guidance. Under expert supervision, students practised how to properly operate AED equipment and perform high-quality CPR on individuals in need of emergency assistance.
Through this interactive approach, our students gained much more than just technical knowledge; they developed the confidence, clarity, and readiness required to act decisively in critical situations. We are incredibly proud of our students’ active participation and their commitment to making our community a safer place.
