Post-Examination Activities: Unwinding, Learning, and Growing

Following the completion of this year’s examinations, our school campus came alive with a vibrant range of post-examination activities designed to help students unwind, explore new interests, and develop essential life skills. The diverse programme featured a rich variety of engaging, hands-on workshops that catered to every interest. Physical activities like abseiling, horse riding, indoor climbing, stacking, and bowling promoted physical fitness and personal achievement, while creative minds flourished in music sessions exploring the kalimba and ethereal drums. Students also tapped into their artistic potential through 3D acrylic painting and ceramics workshops.
Beyond physical and creative pursuits, the programme emphasised practical life skills and critical thinking. Students learned lifesaving basics in an introductory first aid course, sharpened their strategic minds with games of bridge and chess, and gained a deep appreciation for Chinese cultural heritage through hands-on workshops making Ru Yi cake, Dragon’s Beard Candy, and traditional dough figures. Educational talks broadened their perspectives on law-abiding citizenship, smoking prevention, and the technology behind Bitcoin, complemented by a reflective life education music sharing session held in a local church.
The excitement continued with major school-wide events that fostered incredible team spirit and a strong sense of belonging, including the Inter-house Quiz Competition, Inter-class Skipping Competition, Inter-class Indoor Rowing Competition, a mock election, and a lively music contest. These campus activities were paired with rewarding educational excursions to the Hong Kong Museum of the War of Resistance and Coastal Defence, the Hong Kong Monetary Authority, DX Design Hub, the Hong Kong Red Cross Humanitarian Education Centre, and the Yakult Factory. Together, these experiences provided a meaningful, joyful, and well-rounded conclusion to the academic year, supporting our students’ growth long after the final exams were marked.
