Visit to the Zao Wou-Ki Exhibition at M+
Date: 30/04/2026
On 30th April, 31 students from S3 to S5 embarked on an enriching cultural excursion to M+ to explore the "Zao Wou-Ki: Master Printmaker" exhibition. During the gallery visit, students examined the intricate layers of Zao’s lithographs and etchings, observing his masterful fusion of Chinese artistic traditions with European modernism.
To translate these abstract concepts into practice, students participated in a specialized printmaking workshop. Moving beyond traditional techniques, they experimented with diverse textures and found objects to transfer ink, discovering how varied surfaces can articulate unique visual languages. This immersive session encouraged students to channel Zao’s experimental spirit, as they manipulated unconventional materials to create their own evocative, original prints.
