Blessings for Kowloon City: Robotic Dog Lion Dance

Our school was invited by the Kowloon City District Office to participate in the Chinese New Year gathering, with the theme of blessings for Kowloon City to celebrate the Year of the Horse.

Throughout the event, two of our school’s robotic dogs were transformed into lively robotic lions. With the use of programming skills and creativity, our students designed a unique robotic lion dance performance. They demonstrated the robotic lions and interacted with the esteemed guests from various sectors enthusiastically, sharing the joy of this festive occasion.

Integrating technology and tradition, students not only broadened their horizons regarding the conventional art of lion dance, but also strengthened their understanding and interests in Chinese culture. Amidst the delightful festive atmosphere, the unique charm and vitality of our cultural were immensely experienced!

本校獲邀參與由九龍城民政事務處舉辦的《福滿龍城》丙午年新春團拜，活動中我校兩隻機械狗化身為活潑的機械獅子，同學更特意運用編程製作了機械舞獅表演，並演示機械獅子與各界嘉賓熱切互動，分享新春節日的喜悅。

透過是次科技與傳統融合的體驗，同學既拓寬了對中國傳統舞獅表演藝術的視野，從而加深對中華文化的的認識和興趣，更在歡樂的節日氣氛中感受到中華文化的獨特魅力！
