Promoting Wellness: Students Explore Healthy Snacking and Anti-Drug Education

Date: 10/03/2026

The Health Education Club recently hosted an interactive Anti-Drug Quiz under the refreshing theme “Chill for Health.” The event successfully engaged the student body in a dialogue about healthy habits and the importance of a drug-free lifestyle, demonstrating that staying informed about wellness can be both an educational and enjoyable experience.

To emphasise the rewards of wellness, participants were treated to what the club calls “Nature’s Candy”—refreshing frozen fruits that proved nutritious snacks can be both flavourful and satisfying. Winners enjoyed frozen green grapes and blueberries, which are naturally high in antioxidants that support cognitive function and overall brain health. As a balanced treat, students also enjoyed a serving of delicious snowflake crisps , showcasing a variety of textures and flavours.

A particularly “cool” twist of the event was the demonstration of how freezing simple fruits creates a crunchy, sorbet-like texture. This serves as a brilliant, healthy alternative to processed sweets, providing a natural energy boost without the typical sugar crash associated with refined snacks. By successfully combining education with refreshment, the event provided a meaningful opportunity to raise health awareness across the campus.
